Cecil Reynolds (CR) formed BLACK STAR RECORDS(www.blackstarecords.com)1997 to do his style of SOUL music.A guitarist and keyboardist Cecil has always wrote and produced his own music.In 2000 he released "CR...The Introduction" then soon after formed "SOULPLAY" a HIP/HOP-SOUL group.The texas based artist,has written songs from GOSPEL to HIP/HOP. After years of honing, he is now ready to BREAK-OUT in a big way. Cecil's first blues track " Sunshine Pumping Machine " was featured on BLUES DELUXE and recieved national airplay. The new CD " Pawn Shop " is ready for a spring 2007 release. All acoustic, traditional blues ! Pawn Shop was Recorded on 4 track cassette, to give it the warm traditional sound of acoustic blues.

Recorded entirely on 4-track cassette, the warmth and tones are rich and bluesey.Each track takes on a different feel for classic blues. From the danceable " Rock me baby" & "Shake it, Shake it" to the low down gritty slow blues tracks " By Myself " and " Find my baby ".Included is a HOT cover of " Hey Joe " and "Sunshine Pumping Machine" that has already recieved NATIONAL airplay.And as always,Cecil's voice is in TOP shape ! Cecil has always wanted to showcase his acoustic guitar playing skills and on PAWN SHOP he does just that. Making every track special,yet staying true to the BLUES, is indeed something that makes PAWN SHOP stand-out.
