Biography "But small is the gate and 'narrow' the 'road' that leads to life, and only a few find it" (Matthew 7:14). ................................................................................................................................ I am 25 years old and music has been my passion for as long as I can remember and it runs throughout my entire family. Growing up, my parents instilled in me, my sister and two brothers a strong Christian faith and foundation as they used music to minister at different churches. I've been singing ever since I could speak, began writing rhymes and poems in the 1st grade and wrote my very first song at the age of 15. However, I just picked up the acoustic guitar within the past two years and still have a lot to learn. "...But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift another has that" (1 Corinthians 7:7). "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms" (1 Peter 4:10). To use my gifts with hopes to touch even just one person by glorifying His name makes all of the work and effort worthwhile. God has been calling me to use my music to glorify Him and share it with others. "Sing to Him a new song, Play skillfully, and Shout for joy" (Psalms 33:3). Though this may be a "small beginning," it's a start -- and you have to start somewhere. "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin" (Zechariah 4:10). "Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be" (Job 8:7). I know my work for Him is merely just beginning. But, I am ready for the long road -- the "narrow road." |
